A letter to a sister in Portsmouth Church

Dear sister,

Excuse me for writing you a letter. I have never met, heard and known your name, but I know you are my sister and my family in the Lord. I happened to read about your news in Facebook and felt very sad and heartbroken. I know someone said that you will be in hell, but a person who was forced to commit suicide doesn’t commit murder (even so, isn’t David who commits four to five out of the Ten Commandments just in a afternoon still in heavens? Much more are we in the times of new Covenant filling with grace and truth, compared to David’s times of Old Covenant?). You must be not in hell, and probably are taking a stroll with Lord Jesus in the paradise. I wish I could be in the place where you are. Unfortunately I am not as good as you, loving God and Church, and will be more difficult to enter the kingdom of heavens than you.    

You was a church broad member in Portsmouth Church for years. A sister who was elected as a broad member should be good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom (Act 6:3) by the recognition of whole church. Suddenly, you were dismissed and isolated by brothers and sisters because of the unwarranted charge “contact or support Yu-Ming Yang”!?

The Church is sick and desperately ill. Even unbelievers understand the principle of presumption of innocence: in the court one is considered innocent unless proven guilty for the protection of the very basic human rights which are rooted primarily from the creation of man by God, so that all men are created equal. In contrast, the church who claims themselves have the presence and guidance of Holy Spirit, without proofs, has already considered you, a church broad member who haven’t contacted and supported Yang, are guilty!   

Human nature is weak, selfish and self-righteous. Several preachers from U.K. (are they FF Chang, Steven Shek and Michael Chan? I think you know. God in heavens also knows.) have already decided you were contacting with Yang, without listening to the testimony of the innocent, and the crying and tearing are meaningless but resulting in words of “proof that you don’t contact Yang”. How pathetic! How can one proof “nothing” by showing “something”?

Henceforth, the church was covered with dread and terror, and has isolated you, separated you and distanced you. Are you a frightening person? No! Heard that you are a sister with joy and love. Or do you involve in Yang’s matter? No! You have not contacted Yang. It is the church which is too scared to be saved and gave you up. And the innocent blood of you has stained with their hands, which becomes the strongest accuse when seeing the Lord in the end.

I think you are more familiar with Bible than me and must have read the words spoken by God to Moses: Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked (Ex 23:7). Lest innocent blood be shed in the midst of your land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and thus guilt of bloodshed be upon you. (Deu 19:10). Today the blood has shed upon all the people who have involved.  

Perhaps you could tell me what are the reasons they applied to make people distance and fear you? 2 John 10-11? If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. If so, their sins are greater! For those who stand to preach the Bible have to rightly divide the word of God (2Tim 2:15). And the cite of 2John 10-11 for keeping people away from you is absolutely wrong, as John stated clearly in verse 7 that the heretic doctrine is ”who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh”. And you definitely confessed not that Jesus Christ came without the flesh.

1Cor 5:6, 11? Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person. If so, their sins are greater! Because you were not sexually immoral, covetous, an idolator, a reviler, a drunkard or an extortioner.

Or 1Tim 1:20? Of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. If so, their sins are greater! For those who teach other doctrine (3), like Hymenaeus and Alexander, desire to be teachers of the law (7)! And you didn’t teach other doctrine nor desire to be a teacher of the law.  

They shall receive the greater condemnation (Jam 3:1). Preacher should have been shepherds of God’s elects. However, they don’t imitate the heart of Jesus Christ who leaves the ninety-nine and goes for the one (Mat 18, Luke 15), while behave like those evil shepherds described in the book of Ezekiel: The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them (Eze 34:4).

Peter asked those who lead church “Not as being lords over God’s heritage (1Pet 5:2-3)”, but they chose the opposite way. “By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words (2Pet 2:3) “. As the covetousness is power, wealth or reputation? I think you know. God in heavens also knows.

My beloved sister, you are not the first one who chose to give life up, but likely to be the first one who was forced to death because of the unwarranted aspersion in the church. Your pain, unspoken bitterness and deep love to church, which are all known by our Lord. He sees everything and hears everything. May the Lord comfort all your family and friends in the world.

God in heavens judges! May the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ listen to my prayer! May he judge double-heavily every person who judges, posts and comments in this event, according to what they say and write in the end. God does.
